MISSION:

To create a space where migrant workers, far from their homelands, will be welcome and where they will find learning and enrichment, and respect.

VISION:

Dibashram will be dedicated to the intangibles of migrant-worker life in Singapore, to learning, recreation, and cultural enrichment, and to activities that promote  interaction and mutual understanding and respect between the resident and migrant communities of Singapore.

ACTIVITIES:

- Educational: computer & internet lessons, language classes

- Cultural: literary evenings, poetry readings, story-telling, movie screenings in the native languages of migrant workers

- Recreational: reading room, TV

- Drop in services: secure storage of important documents, rest and recuperation

FUNDING:

Dibashram is privately-funded but may welcome material contributions and financial support from well-wishers.
